The Fundamentals, The Substance, The Positioning, The Form, and Epilogue.
In the Fundamentals, we will look at the definition of personal branding and why it is important to you. We will also debunk some of the myths surrounding personal branding.
The Substance section focuses on your Personal Brand Audit where you will learn to uncover your real substance by asking pertinent questions like “who are you”, “What is your vision” and “what are your strengths and weaknesses”. You will be asked to define the audience you are serving. After determining the role you can play in others’ lives, you will be asked to write your unique selling proposition (USP).
The Positioning section emphasizes working on your Brand Strategy to build, nurture and differentiate yourself from others. To nurture your brand, you need the help of at least 10 important people in your life, each playing a different role. To build your brand, you begin by crowdsourcing and emulating other giants before you, before finally building your own tribe. Continue to work with others from a business-to-business (B2B) level while building your brand architecture. It takes a lot of hard work to differentiate your brand. This book will give you simple yet challenging ways to keep growing.
In The Form, you will learn about the Brand Communication aspect of your personal branding. In this section, you will learn to package yourself through different platforms and mediums, beginning with your profile and the identity of your brand. Create social media engagement through your platforms and portals. Increase your presence through public speaking. Establish your authority by publishing a book or two. Share your authenticity and humanity by getting involved in charities and social causes.
